How to Install

It's a portable full version of the game, all you have to do next is extract the rar files to your choice of directory path/folder.

Run "EnglishUncensorPatch .exe", click on i agree, change the destination folder to where your game exe file is located in (game .exe is named "nw.exe"), then proceed the installation.

The Usual:
● Run the game as admin if you experience crash or fail to save.
● If you get an error while opening the rar files ("The archive is either in unknown format or damaged") . Update your WinRAR version or 7zip.
● Unable to save+ unkown error, eperm: operation not permitted + no sound. Reported by Juve89.
Possible fix:
- Delete all files within the save folder "\Fallen ~Makina and the City of Ruins~\www\save\". Solved by anonymous user.

why can't i save? and im even getting an error too.

If you get the error saying "not permitted" or along those lines when trying to save or changing the options, try deleting all the files in the save folder. It worked for me.

ReplyDeleteUse either winrar or 7zip. Both support most compresion file format.

I did a check and apparently the game folder was on "Read-only" which may limit the game operation but it's still working fine on my system nonetheless. Try disabling this by right clicking on your game folder (default "Fallen ~Makina and The City of Ruins~"), choose properties, uncheck the "Read-only" box under attributes, then hit apply.
Please report back if any of the mentioned method works.
I apologize, how do you run this game? After unzipping the fails, once I click on the .exe I get a message saying that I don’t have the app.

DeleteAre you sure that you run/click on the correct one? That kind of message appears when there isn't any recognizable app/program installed/set up on your system to open that specific format which usually not the case with executable file (.exe).

DeleteRunning pirated/non-steam game through steam doesn't really affect how your game would run since the game itself is not registered in your account database in anyway. It'll only add an aditional game overlay + notification of you playing a non-steam game with your game .exe name displayed to everyone.

If you use 32-bit system i'd suggest upgrading it to 64-bit if you can since some apps require 64-bit system and you can run 32-bit app at the same time with that system type.
Thanks for the update! I notice that you made it easier to download too, even though you didn't really have to. Was it because of that comment complaining about having to download their free stuff in parts? Kids these days, am I right? Well, I didn't mind, but I still appreciate this. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm new to the site. Glad to have found it. The only thing I'm worried about though is blogspot. In my experience, a lot of the blogs that have this kind of content don't last very long (hasuublog anyone?). They get shut down and you can't track down where they moved to, if at all. I wish you had your own site like IGG.
Maybe in the future i'l try to host my own site. I'm no expert in html coding or anything related to website building i know there's probably some tool/services that helps you to make it without jumping directly on that part. Probably i'll learn/research about it in the meantime, improving design flaws and stuff.

file appears to be corrupted as it cannot be interpreted properly as a "zip" file.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
Varies. It could be that your download is corrupted, your anti-virus is interfering with the extraction process, Malwares that might be messing with the files, or limited user access to write/read to the folder.
QUESTIONS
What OS are you running your machine with? Is this happening on other compressed file with the same format? Are you certain that you're using the latest version of 7zip?
POSSIBLE SOLUTION
* Try to resolve the possible causes (Redownload, turning off anti-virus during process, scanning for malwares, make sure your os account has access to write/read "TEMP" folder which is used by compression files to store extracted data temporarily, etc).
* Try extracting the files from a directory that isn't limited with certain previlege like your desktop, etc.
* Extract the game files on other machine/os.
- Clean installation of your os.
You can also try running 7zip as admin.

Alternatively you can set admin as always by going to properties (from right click "7zFM.exe"), switch to compatibility tab, check the "Run this program as an administrator".
i think the problem may be that i was trying to use an application that was downloaded through the windows app store (called 7-zip, i thought it was the same thing but it isn't). im trying it out right now with the right app i'll tell you if it works or not. thanks though!

ReplyDeleteThey stated that ver 1.07 makes the game more safe for work. Not exactly sure what is changed because there's no changelog provided. Could possibly be some content-cut or further censorship than the previous version (ver 1.06c).
